Papa John's Pizza
John Schnatter, a pizza delivery boy in high school, found that no delivery pizzas could match the quality and taste of fresh pizza from the oven. At age 22, he knocked down the broom closet in his father's tavern, sold his prized 1972 Z28 Camaro, purchased $1,600 worth of used restaurant equipment, and began delivering pizzas out of the back of the bar. Today, Papa John's Pizza is the recognized quality leader with over 3,000 restaurants worldwide.
