Shirley Junior
Shirley has dedicated her life to serving as an advocate for children and families. She found her calling through work and volunteerism with educational enrichment and childcare programs, as well as the Campfire Boys and Girls Outreach program. Her tireless dedication to improving the lives of others earned her the first and only Gold Heart Award ever given by the Campfire Council. She also received the Channel 10 Leadership Award for the creation of a rites of passage program for African-American males that promoted academic excellence and self-esteem.
