Willie Jones
In 1994 Willie Jones, class president, star of the Lincoln High wrestling team, and valedictorian of his graduating class, was killed by a gang member while leaving a graduation party. He had no ties to gangs, but rather a bright future at Cornell University, where he had been awarded a $98,000 scholarship. Willie had wanted to become an obstetrician and gynecologist.
