Malia Aloese
Malia has been very active in uniting the San Diego Samoan community through her efforts to establish a permanent cricket field (a game that is central to the Samoan culture) at Paradise Hills Community Park. She also works closely with Samoan youth in Lincoln Park. Malia provides them with activities, programs, and a place to “hang out” at the Black Police Officers Association building. She has also brought neighbors together through her participation in the Neighborhood Coordinator program sponsored by the Jacobs Center for Neighborhood Innovation.
