Maxine Wilson
Maxine set a high standard for community service through her involvement in a variety of civic organizations. She has been the chairperson for the Memorial Recreation Council and Logan Heights Community Council, president of the Kiwanis of Southeastern San Diego, member of the Park and Recreation Council, the Boys & Girls Club, the NAACP, and the Southeastern San Diego Planning Committee. However, she may be best known for her work in feeding hundreds of Christmas dinners to homeless San Diegans, which she’s been doing for more than 25 years.
