Sister Margaret Castro
Sister Margaret is the administrator and director of Religious Education and Youth Ministry at St. Rita’s Catholic Church. After working with the late Mother Theresa in India for 14 years, she returned to San Diego and began working with people in need in San Diego. Sister Margaret organized some of the first food and gift drives using barrels at local convenience stores. She has also spent 36 years helping women in San Diego become politically active, co-founding the National Women’s Political Caucus.
